About Dr Faiza
Dr Faiza Irshad completed her MBBS at Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur, and earned her FCPS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from the College of Physicians & Surgeons, Pakistan. She served as a Specialist Registrar at Allied Hospital, Faisalabad, and as Head of Department at United Hospital, Faisalabad – roles that involved running a department, not only a clinic. She brought that same structure to Bashira, where women’s health is delivered as an organised service rather than a series of separate appointments.

Diagnostics
Ultrasound is performed by Dr Faiza in your consultation, and samples are processed through our laboratory partners – which is why results and treatment usually happen in the same visit.

Why a team matters for women’s health
Most women’s health problems are not solved in a single appointment. A hormone result needs a scan to interpret it. An infection needs a swab before the right treatment. A pregnancy needs the same doctor across many months. A menopause consultation may uncover a thyroid problem that belongs with a GP.
Because the consultation, the scan, the samples, the treatment room and the follow-up all sit under one roof and one specialist, that whole chain happens without you being handed between clinics – and without anyone losing the thread of your history.

Frequently asked questions
Will I see Dr Faiza herself?
Yes. Dr Faiza personally conducts gynaecology and pregnancy consultations and performs your ultrasound. The wider team supports that care – they do not replace it.
Is the ultrasound really included?
Yes. The AED 250 consultation includes an ultrasound assessment where the doctor finds it needed, with no separate scan fee.
Do I need a referral to see a specialist?
Some insurance plans, including Thiqa, use the DOH Clinical Gateway e-referral system and ask for a GP assessment first. Dr Sammi Shaheen can complete that assessment and issue the e-referral to Dr Faiza, usually in the same visit. Self-paying patients can book directly.
What if my problem turns out not to be gynaecological?
That happens often – thyroid, anaemia and urinary problems all mimic gynaecological symptoms. Our GPs pick those up within the same clinic, so you are not sent away to start again elsewhere.
Will my visit be confidential?
Yes. Your records, results and everything you discuss stay between you and your clinical team.
Which languages does the team speak?
Dr Faiza: English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi. Dr Sammi: English, Urdu and Punjabi. Dr Benny: English, Arabic, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada.
