Your doctor explains which of these are relevant to you and why, and will not run anything you would rather not have. Everything discussed stays between you and your doctor.
How your appointment works
1. Your first consultation
You sit with a doctor and describe what you have noticed and when it started. This is a private conversation, and there is time in the appointment for it.
2. Bloods taken at the clinic
Samples are taken on the same visit. Come in the morning where you can — testosterone is naturally highest early in the day, so a morning sample gives the clearest reading.
3. Your results consultation
You come back and your doctor goes through the panel with you — what is in range, what is not, and what can be done about it. If treatment or a referral is the right next step, it is explained and priced before anything begins.

Common questions
Do I need to fast?
Yes. Have nothing to eat for eight to twelve hours beforehand, as this affects the blood glucose result. Water is fine, and take your usual medication unless your doctor has told you otherwise.
Does the time of day matter?
For testosterone, yes. Levels are highest in the morning and fall through the day, so a morning appointment gives a more reliable result. Our team will offer you an early slot.
Is this a men-only service at a women’s clinic?
Our general practice sees men, women and families. Gynaecology is a separate service led by a female specialist. Your appointment is with a general practitioner.
How private is it?
Your appointment and your results stay between you and your doctor. Results are given to you in person at your second consultation, not read out over the phone.
How long do results take?
Most results are back within 24 to 48 hours. Our team contacts you to arrange your results consultation as soon as they arrive.
What if something comes back abnormal?
Your doctor explains what it means and what should happen next — that may be a repeat test, a further investigation, treatment, or a referral to a specialist.
