Vital Nutrient Package

Tired all the time, and not sure why?

The Vital Nutrient Package measures six things your body needs to work properly — and that are commonly low without anyone noticing. A GP consultation before the bloods and another to explain them. Gift Land Building, 1st Floor, Najda Street, Abu Dhabi.

AED 249, one fixed price. Insurance accepted on eligible plans, including Daman and Thiqa.

What the panel measures

All six are included in the AED 249 price, alongside both consultations.

  • Vitamin D — supports bone strength, muscle function and immunity. Low levels are common in the Gulf, where the daytime heat keeps most people indoors.
  • Vitamin B12 — supports nerve function and the making of red blood cells. Worth checking if you eat little or no meat, or take metformin long term.
  • Iron — needed to carry oxygen around the body. One of the more common reasons for persistent tiredness.
  • Calcium — supports bones, muscle and nerve signalling.
  • Magnesium — supports muscle and nerve function, and is often looked at where there are cramps or poor sleep.
  • Sodium — reflects your body’s fluid and salt balance.

These results describe your current levels. They are a starting point for a conversation with your doctor, not a diagnosis on their own.

How your appointment works

1. Your first GP consultation

You describe what you have noticed — how long you have felt this way, how you are sleeping and eating, and anything else going on. Your doctor confirms the panel is the right starting point for you.

2. Bloods taken at the clinic

A single sample is taken on the same visit. Come in the morning having not eaten where you can, as iron readings vary through the day and are most reliable early and fasted.

3. Your results consultation

A doctor goes through the six results with you and explains what, if anything, needs correcting and how. If your levels are all normal, that is useful to know too — it tells you to look elsewhere for the cause rather than keep guessing.

Who this suits

  • Anyone tired for weeks or months without an obvious reason
  • People who spend most of the day indoors or fully covered outdoors
  • Vegetarians, vegans and anyone eating little red meat
  • Women with heavy periods, who lose more iron than they replace
  • Anyone with cramps, poor sleep, brittle nails or hair thinning
  • People already taking supplements who want to know whether they still need them

Tiredness has many possible causes, and nutrients are only one of them. If this panel does not explain it, your doctor will tell you what to look at next rather than leaving it there.

Common questions

Should I just take supplements instead?

You can, but you would be guessing. Taking something you are not short of does nothing, and a few — iron and Vitamin D among them — can cause harm at high doses over time. Measuring first tells you what you actually need and for how long.

Do I need to fast?

Where you can, yes. Come in the morning having not eaten, as iron levels shift through the day and an early fasted sample is the most reliable. Water is fine.

What if everything comes back normal?

That is a useful result. It rules out a common set of causes and tells you and your doctor to look elsewhere — thyroid, sleep, iron stores over time, or something else entirely. Your doctor will discuss what makes sense next.

Is this the same as an IV drip?

No. This is a blood test that measures your levels. An IV drip is a treatment. Testing first means any treatment is chosen for what you are actually short of, rather than picked from a menu.

How long do results take?

Most results are back within 24 to 48 hours. Our team contacts you to arrange your results consultation as soon as they arrive.

Can I have this as part of a bigger check?

Yes. The General Wellness Package 5-in-1 at AED 299 covers liver, kidneys, thyroid, cholesterol, diabetes, blood picture and Vitamin D, with an ECG and urine test. Your doctor can tell you which is the better fit. Looking for something else? Browse our full range of medical services.
